The Southport Police Department and the Indianapolis
Metropolitan Police Department have had a rash of vehicle
break-ins on the south side of Marion County. Vehicle break-ins have
and always will continue to be a problem. When the individuals who
commit this type of crime are questioned they tell Law Enforcement
that they do not like to work very hard and they choose to hit
vehicles that are left unlocked, items (expensive items), are left
in plan view.
The Southport Police Department
request that you lock your vehicle, do not leave
expensive and or vulnerable items in plan view.

Q: How do I obtain an accident report?
A: Copies of an accident report can be requested from the City of
Southport Police department. To obtain a copy of the
document(s) you must know the correct date, time, location and name
of the officer who took the report. A fee may be assessed for
this service.

handgun?
A: An applicant desiring to obtain or renew a license to carry
a handgun applies to

complete the form. Applicant is responsible for
forwarding all material with money order to the Indiana
